On October 26, 2020, Frazier Healthcare Partners, a Seattle-based healthcare investment firm, completed its acquisition of Accuity Delivery Systems (“Accuity,” or the “Company”), a leading provider of physician-led Revenue Integrity and Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) services. Frazier is joined in the transaction by 22C Capital and several existing shareholders, including WindRose Health Investors, Accuity’s founder Dr. Eric Moskow, and Accuity’s senior leadership team. The partnership with Frazier will help accelerate the momentum the Company has achieved as a leading Revenue Integrity and CDI service provider.
i3 Verticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: IIIV) (the “Company”), announced Monday the acquisition of three companies that strengthen its vertical focus. The first acquisition is within the Company’s fast-growing Public Sector vertical. This business is based in the southeast and provides software and services for public safety and law enforcement customers. The second acquisition is within the Company’s Healthcare vertical and offers medical billing and other software. This business is also headquartered in the southeast but serves customers across the country. Radiation Business Solutions (RBS) announced that they reached an agreement to purchase RADMAX, Inc., a radiation oncology medical billing company headquartered in Tyler, TX, effective August 31, 2020. RBS also announced the development of their new, quality-driven radiation oncology network, VidaCore. With the addition of RADMAX, RBS now serves nearly 208 physicians at over 89 cancer centers located in 27 states. RBS also owns and operates four freestanding radiation oncology centers through the company’s development arm, RBS Evolution, and has partnered with Apollo Healthcare to provide value to proton centers.
The American Medical Association updated codes Tuesday for office and outpatient visits that address the COVID-19 pandemic and tech-enabled care, among other issues. The changes to the evaluation and management office visit codes include eliminating history and physical exam elements for code selection, basing code selection on medical decisionmaking or total time, and adding more detail to code descriptions, the AMA said in a news release. The association suggested CMS adopt the changes on Jan. 1.

The acquisition target was formed in 2006 and is located in the Southwest United States. Radiation Business Solutions (RBS) announced that they have reached an agreement to purchase MBR Medical Billing, Inc., a radiation oncology medical billing company with offices in State College, PA and Lewistown, PA, effective July 31, 2020. “Over 1,800 patients every day will be positively impacted by our combined team. The MBR acquisition edges us closer to our national goal of 4,000 daily radiation oncology patients with reduced financial toxicity. MBR has excelled in building long term physician relationships, and I am grateful we have joined forces,” said Daniel Moore, Chief Executive Officer of RBS.

Netsmart announced today it has acquired New York-based post-acute healthcare consulting firm, Quality In Real Time (QIRT). Together, Netsmart and QIRT offerings will form the largest service provider in the post-acute community, with more than 400 associates supporting our clients. QIRT will become part of the McBee strategic consulting business unit to expand McBee’s OASIS, minimum data set (MDS) coding and advisory consulting services for post-acute care and behavioral health providers. This acquisition builds upon the current Netsmart suite of operational, financial and clinical services by leveraging additional QIRT offerings, such as MDS and uniform assessment system (UAS) reviews.
